Title: Replacing Interior

I am looking to replace the boring plastic wooden looking parts in my Golf Gti on the console and doors, Does anyone know where i can get new ones, brushed alu or similar on the net.

I've actually just ordered a complete set from a group buy, I'm afraid you missed out on the closing date by 2 days  :-\
Cheapest I've seen for these and many other R32 style parts (aswell as much more) is www.vagparts.com
I know many people who've ordered form this guy (Martyn) i'd suggest ordering via phone rather than email, seems to go smoother.

p.s don't forget to get the matching gear shifter  ;)

Found a set on the Euro Car Parts web site. Hopefully they will do the trick as they are a good price. And if they are not looks like i will have to purchase from vagparts.

by the way mate if you have a car with the earlier type cup holder then you'll need to replace that cassette in order to fit the new trim. they're about 30 quid.
This is the older type holder which would need replacing.

No idea what the new one looks like because mine hasn't arrived yet ! But apparently there's quite a difference in the two.

The cup holder in mine is differant to that one. My gti is a late 2000 model. I will wail till the bits arrive, There are 12 pieces in the set, so fingers crossed.

the new type cup holder is like a flat bit at the bottom and then a hook to keep the drink from moving laterally, its a bit of a pain to get the actual cups in cos i find i have to pull on the hooks but it does take a variety of sizes and accommodates my cans of red bull nicely.

Very Disapointed buyer,

I received my new dash interior from Euro Car Parts and they turned out to be Stick on parts that you stick on to your existing plastic parts, They should have specified this on the web page. Should have gone to Vagparts for them.

The genuine stuff is by no means cheap, always question things that seem too good to be true..

I paid around 110 quid for the set and that included delivery to Ireland. I suppose its my own fault for not questioning the price.
