1989 Golf GTi 8 Valve
I currently have a mild steel Piper Tornado and after exactly 4 yrs, it is now ready for the skip.
I am disappointed at how rapidly this exhaust deteriorated and although it sounds great, it has put me off buying another Piper.
I am now purchasing a replacement system and am interested in a good quality stainless steel, that performs better than a standard exhaust and isn't really loud.
I was thinking of one of the following systems:
Milltek
Supersprint
Magnex
I don't have any experience of any of the above and haven't managed to spot any on the road either.
Does anyone else out there have one or able to confirm the build quality, fitment, performance or sound?
Thanks
Mark

I'd personally go for a scorpion exhaust full system. The build quality is fantastic and the noise is just a deep rumble until u really caine it, then u know its there ;D :P

I totally agree, dead chuffed with mine ;D
Bit boomy at the 4,000 RPM mark but so long as yer foots flat to the floor you don't see it for long anyways :P

id highly recomend the Magnex full stainless system.
I have had mine on for 2 years now and apart from a honda fireblade snaping an exhaust tip of the back box its been great.
quiet when you want it but noisy when you want it as well.
Build quality is very good plus easy to assemble.
(I think that deserves a free system from magnex after that much praise! ;D)

Magnex systems recirculate the gases now in order to keep noise levels down so in some cases can be more restrictive than the OE system!
i have a mongoose system on mine and cant fault it, fits like a glove, deep and burbly noise also.
Piccy of it (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/gallery/displayimage.php?album=48&pos=2)
only backbox styles that i have seen that are nicer are the letterbox style ones
