ive got a GTI-T and was wondering if the lowering springs that came off of a 1.6 golf would fit and work, they lowered the 1.6 by 35mm, anyone got any ideas ?
-
Yeah they will but they won't lower your car 35mm as the GTI is lower than the 1.6 in the first place.

you know what were talking then, like 25mm 0r something ?
-
35mm drop sounds like its an H&R spring- on their website it says all golfs use the same model RACE spring, but for a SPORT spring there's a difference between all other models and the anni, 2.0 and the 4motion.
-
Yeah probably around 20mm I should think. Depends though if the springs were bought for a 1.6 in the first place if you get me?

I have a Koni sports kit on my GT TDI, the springs are blue and the shocks are yellow. Not sure if that helps at all lol

got to remember that those springs won't be correct due to the different weights of the engines - you'll most likely find that the ride is shocking
get lowering springs DESIGNED for your engine - don't cut corners when it comes to keeping your car on the road :afro:
