Title: Todays work ( bora vents + W8 light )
Post by: jonnyturbo on 21 February 2009, 19:50: Well today was the day me and matt ( northeast-gti-t ) fitted my bora vents and W8 light. Here are some pics of how it went. Opinions welcome.

9am Matt arrived and we got the tools out

Light went in first

Then it was tools away. Then talking cars for about a hour lol :nerd:

Post by: Wazzzer on 21 February 2009, 20:17: or you do what I did, get some from a breakers yard on ebay and get stung cos the vents you bought don't have the LEDs in them :angry:

Lucky I'm handy with electronics otherwise I'd have been stuffed. I ended up having to make my own LED loom up for each vent. The breakers denied all knowledge :huh:

I'll have my new set of vents by Tuesday hopefully, just need to order a light :)

I'll try. I reckon you got quoted on a sunroof one. I shall let you know how much VW want :) Was emant to do it today but went to B&Q instead to buy some MDF.

top job wazzer with the loom was impressed with your work involved (wish i had been on here when i did mine) i had to made my own up to do mine :rolleyes: just have to keep ya eyes on the road at night now jonny :laugh:
