Title: Valve Stem Seal

I need to replace my valve stem seals in my Golf as I think that may be the reason it's burning oil. An easy job I've heard, but looking at the parts on GSF I realised I don't know how many I need. Is it just 1 item I need, or one per valve? I don't know much about them as my Haynes manual contains nothing about them.

Is it for a mk2?. If so you can do it without taking the head off. There is one seal per valve.  http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=69439.0

Ok, thanks! Will be off to GSF for 8 new ones then, lol. Don't know which one(s) are leaking but might as well do them all! Cheers.
