Right then guys, I am looking for some real car entusiasts views of what you think will make a good show and shine event.
Please post up any ideas that you would like to see that could improve S&S events nationwide, even if you think its a bit of a bizarre idea.
You may also want to post up any events that you have been to that you feel were spot on, wherever they were in the world (it doesn't even have to be a VAG event).
If I get any genuine and valid idea's then I will try and get put them in to action later in the year.
Any help or input on this would be great

car that most looks like owner
best car that looks like it wont get home
most disgraceful modification
best crew 3 cars 3 friends
that sort of thing???

Show & Shines are too anal. All that polishing!
So how about a section for just real cars, ones that get driven every day
-
Show and shine is for daily driven cars, I appreciate what your saying tho and maybe two classes such as show cars and daily's
-
Not meaning to be negative Gaz mate, its just you see cars with spotless engine bays and no way can they be driven daily!
-
Tell me about it mate, but at the same time there is no way of proving it aint a daily :(
I know that if a 10 year old car has only done 15k then fair enough, but it aint always like that. You could ask entrants to bring their last 2 MOT's and say it has to have done at least 5k in a year to be classed as daily, but i doubt that would go down too well
You still have valid points though that will be voiced

i saw a car turn up at action once on a trailer and with no tax and still be entered for daily driver. imo show n shine shouldnt be about the cheque book car but about the car that has the most personailty

One thing i was going to look at is the car has to be taxed and driven in with no trailers

Best innovative modification/redesign. Not the usual add on goodies or customizing, but a system rethink or something like that. (D.H's Synchro project may be a contender, for example.) Points go for innovation, practicability for intended use, overall result and quality of workmanship.
Best 'Green' modification perhaps? :undecided:
Modern car into a vintage shell, although that would be classed as customizing.
