i have de-badged my tailgate and wot a difference all in all cost me 20 mins of my time have got to say its a must do mod

yup its a must. I have gone one further and removed the vw badge lol

im going to be getting my badge off this weekend but only for a nice black spray job. do the badges just pop off???

the rear vw badge pulls off but it has holes behind it. Also the badge sits in a recess

just just a hairdryer to heat up the glue, then use some tar remover to remove whats left

hmmm sounds easy just know how quickly i get stressed if things go wrong hence why i stopped working on cars and decided to pay someone to do it lol

If you de-badge the car it's like you've something to hide. People see the GTI badge and think "oh aye, only a GTI, I'll have that". Then you can surprise them :)

That's the look I'm going for. I always thought MK4's were heavy and slow until I got one and R-tech'd it. I guess most on the road will see the gti badge and think it's a walkover :evil:

I like debadged look, currently I only have the GTI on mine ATM but it may be removed.
