Title: Reconditioned box

What would you recommend is a fair price to pay for a reconditioned 8v gti gearbox? Seen a couple for 300 quid which seems high-ish.

Also anyone know how many hours of work it would take to recondition one from scratch? Would probably prefer to have my existing one done.

depends how good the job is, you would want to query how much of the internals are replaced as part of the rebuild.

As you can see its not an easy job refurbing a box!
