As above. I know weitec coilovers have a pretty good reputation, but has anyone used just their lowering springs? It seems odd to me that they're so much cheaper than H&R or KW, but the coilover kits are of equal quality/price between brands.
-
My mate had them on his Audi A4 and they seemed fine, ride was ok.
-
not the most popular it seems
-
Only know that Hypermonkey has the weitec coilovers, but nobody with just springs! Sorry!
-
Have Weitec coils on the G60 really rate them. I'd consider the springs on a daily if Eibach didn't do them for the particular car. Might be an idea to phone Darren at G-Werks and ask him what they ride like??

Weitec are owned and made by KW so the quality and performance isn't a question. They're our best selling suspension brand now.

i had them on my mk2. wanted an 'upgarade' so got some eibach springs on gaz gold adjustable dampers.and then a combo of both.
im back on weitec springs and weitec shocks. there matched for the car, and handle superb. iv wasted money on the over rated eibachs. they were far too soft and wallowy (is that a word?) even with the damping turned up. that just made the setup crashy

i just cant be bothered with adjustable shocks (above). i just couldnt get equal damping on all 4 corners. look nice though!
any car i get the future, will be wearing weitec. mine were from g-werks

Not able to get equal damping?
Dont they turn a notch at a time? Then you count the notches from start and do each side the same! Simple!

youd of thought it would be that simple. gaz make quality coilovers, and i assumed the tech in these would of been the same. they sent me a new pair and still the same. on the same setting, one side bouncy, one not

I assume you checked they were both set to zero?
What about handing? Maybe the screw thread got reversed? Just guessing here coz it sounds really weird!

Hmm, don't remember you mentioning that when you were selling them..............

weitec springs are very good toph.

the adjustability was too much. like 4 whole revolutions. gaz did however provide a product testing chart for each 4 strutts that proved they were equal. its just say, a 360' turn on one strutt needed to be 520' on another. which i just dont have the patience to set up.
they did however re machine the collars as my eibach springs didnt fit. they then did fit anf they were cack. far too wallowy as they were progressively wound. i put this down to issues with set up as well.

Toph, I'll let you know as I have just ordered a set from Rob@G-Werks for my new A4 Avant.
45/35mm Lowering. Nose down stance.

I've used weitec fixed suspension kits on my old golf vr6 and audi 100 quattro, excellent quality and value for money, ride was excellent on both cars too.
-
I've got the GTN kit on my mk2. Thats coilovers at the front and adjustable shocks at the back.
Ride and handling are superb! Would easily recommend them!
