posted that there is a w8 light shortage yesterday. Phoned the stealers today. They decided that the can get them now. I need a reg of the vechile which i dont have. So my question is which passats have the beige W8 light in.  Gave vw the part number off rich911 they said they can only order it through the reg. I hate the dealers

by the way the clue of which Passat is in the name - W8....

it was fitted to the W8 Passat..........

I travel 15 miles to get my parts as the parts guy in the one a mile away is a complete co**!!

yep the interior mirror bracket is a classic example  :grin:

i've bought an auto dimming mirror for which you require a different mounting bracket

went into my local dealers and asked for the bracket to be told 'sorry sir you need to order the windscreen as well as it comes fixed to the screen'

odd i thought as the research i had done says it was possible to buy it seperately

i go home, boot up ETKA and within 2 minutes i've found the bracket.  Went back to the dealers and ordered the part  :grin: :grin:  had great pleasure in mentioning to the bloke that he was wrong  :laugh: :laugh:

lmao i hav a lad in my local vw called gavin or as i call him gormless gavin. Will fone up to see if parts are in stock. 'oh yes sir they are in stock' ok wil pop down. Get there and they not in stock. Arggh

lol reminds me of when i was after the 4mo rear valance - thay said " You can buy that part on its own sir - you will have to buy the whole bumper!!!"
