Title: Using a Gti head with carbs.........filling the injector holes?
Post by: moonsta on 17 February 2009, 21:42: :sad: does anyone know how you fill the holes where the injectors go if i want to use a Gti head on my latest 1600,wasa told that TSR used to do something?? Any idea's anyone?? Cheers gang :smiley:

depends what head. If its a K-Jet head then you can use pennies but you cant on a digi head.

Post by: rubjonny on 18 February 2009, 09:40: leave the injectors in is one way, and gearbox drain/fill plugs fit, though again this depends on the injector hole size as above :)

Post by: danny_p on 18 February 2009, 11:45: welding the holes is suboptimal. tapping and screw in a threaded bung with threadlock if you must.

On the early k jet head, gearbox drain plugs will do the job.

Post by: Diamond Hell on 19 February 2009, 21:59: I didn't use any sealant on the pennies and mine was fine - the collets tighten down and seal against the pennies just fine.
