Title: just fitted mk2 16v brakes to a mk3
Post by: *tell* on 17 February 2009, 19:48
ive just fitted mk2 16v brakes to my mk3 1.9 tdi
they work well bleed them and fitted new lines.
now the proplem is with the engine running you can pump the brake
pedal so its rock hard leave it for 3-5 secs it goes back to normal  :undecided:
is this because i need a bigger servo or bigger master cylinder?
or is it because its a diesel and doent have alot off vacuum to the servo?

thanks tell

did you fit a 22mm master cylinder to match the brakes? if not that would be next on my list of things to do ;)
edit: i assume the old brakes were 239s?
