Right, our GL Golf is off road ATM and I have chance to play with it. My dad agreed that we can tidy it up a bit and make it a really nice car. The alloys are a bit scuffed and the paint is worn, so was wondering what colour to do them in.

I know they are crappy alloys, but they will be the ones staying on the car, just want to refurb them to make it a bit nicer. They are filthy ATM and are usually just a standard silver.
Any ideas? Even if it is silver, what type? Thanks!

Nice guide. Yeah, I want to try something darker, might give gun metal grey a go. Will practise on my wheels first.

I like this:

Ford Graphite. How much will I need? Halfords do 300ml cans.

I used 4 cans of primer and 4 of paint...with some laquer on top (although I got my paint very cheap so used plenty!!) ... if the condition isn't too bad (unlike mine) 2 of each should be enough with some laquer
-
Two of each? Cost a fair bit then. £28 for the 2 cans of primer and laquer from Halfords. Look on eBay me thinks. How come you were cheaper?
