i brought my 1.8t last week and ive noticed that when you rev the engine it doesnt seem to drop back to 800 rpm as quick as it should.
any ideas guy???

if it was like my throttle body it will need a good clean. Mine was filthly

just cleaned it and looks spotless but it hasnt cured the problem. im really confused, the engine is reving to 1200-1400 on its own and its making a ticking sound (it doesnt do this all the time)

sorted it! plugged it into my friends diagnostics :cool: was the water temp sensor. changed sensor and revs perfect :grin:
the ticking was the climate control lol
