I've heard that I can get them out of a Corrado, was wondering if I could get them from, say mk3 Golf, mk4 Golf, etc??
-
corrado ones are completly different, as are mk3/mk4 etc. With enough modification it may work, but MK2 ones arnt that hard to find, GSF still sell new ones i believe
-
I swear someone on here said Corrado ones are plug and play with mk2 looms or something
EDIT: Ahh it was you lol, so how fiddly was it to fit the Corrado ones??
-
the corrado loom works in a MK2, with MK2 regulators. This gives you 1 touch windows ;)
-
How difficult is it to put the Carrado loom into a mk2? is there any other parts needed to make the mk2 windows one touch and lastly where would you get the carrado loom, would a breakers take the loom out for you (no local VW breakers you see)
-
getting the loom in isnt that difficult, hardly any wires. getting hold of an uncut one is the hard part, you need the loom between both motors, fusebox, window switches and the control box. Its a royal pain in the rear removing it from a donor car! Also Passats have the same setup, if you're lucky you can get a 5 door version of it but its quite rare. Oh and make sure you get the earlier setup with the switch surrounds that clip to the doorcards, the later switches mount in the door pockets and dont fit a MK2 so well:
