Jesus man, i've had the same thing whilst doing my jetta, done my rover gearbox once and every time i put her on her wheels oil would come pissin outta the driveshafts, ended up kicking my door and wing in until i realised that hanging  behind my car was a rather large punch bag! :(

If its got a slave cylinder check that thats moving freely!

Right,  slave cyl is brand new moves freely no catching or shuddering so thats not it
i am calm but my mate is a bit volatile unfortunatly
and seeing that his golf has been a bit of a money pit recently he is very peeved off
can any one please measure from the clip on the pedal to the start of the master cylinder
think it might help us in putting this demon to rest
thanks for the help

Leave the Golf2 pedal box in there and fit a Seat clutch cable, actuator arm and the cable mounting bracket from an early 90's Passat.

Cable-actuated clutch - no worries.

cable clutch was great but is was very heavy and kept snapping cables hence the brainwave of fitting hydraulics !!!!!!! . wish i hadnt bothered tbh.

as for thecorrado pedal box cant find one anywhere.

apparently the seat cluth cable is 150 quid to buy ??????

Have you got the pin that goes in the gearbox end cylinder in there and the correct way around? do the hydraulics work if the master cyl is removed from the gearbox?
