just driving my oil buzzer and light will randomly go off and the light will start flashing, then after a few second turn off and be normal again, checked my oil and it is fine! would this just be a knackered sensor?
-
that wants to be treated very seriously.
pressure sensors are quite relaible. get oil pressure checked if ok fit new sensors. if dose it again sumps got to come off and oil pump needs checking/replaceing
-
cheers mate! it was rebuilt around 1500 miles ago? oil pressure should be fine! but ill check it all anyways!
-
When my oil gets a bit old/thick, i sometimes get one flash of the oil pressure light when its cold. Oil/filter change sorts it out no problem.

Not the buzzer of doom!
I had a mega problem with this on my old engien i tried: circet check (no breckes), sender x3 skrap yard, GnS and dealer, new lifters, thicker oil and oil pump turned out the bottom end woz shot!! should make 2 bar at 2200 rpm wen around 70c (good VDO preasure guage)
Then on new motor had anouther attack not that long ago that woz just the plug on speedo woz'nt clicked in right!!
hope some of that may help
Wez :nerd:

mmm i doubt it will be bottom end, like i said it has just been rebuilt, thanks for all the advice will be checking all the bits ive been told about this weekend, BIG help!!!! cheers
-
who re-built it?
-
the guy i baught it off, he's fully qualifyed and explained alot when i was viewing it, theres invouces upon invoices for the car and engine so i pretty much no its genuine! it runs fine, there no knocks bangs etc etc..
-
i just has the buzzer and light, but one of my oil pressure senders isn even connected up.
I think its beacuse of the 20v conversion, i do however have a mech. oil pressure gauge and the pressure is fine on that, should i be worried or can i count on the mech. gauge and not the dash one?
-
engine can fail that quickly but sopose as it's been out recently worth checking senders are connected
-
thats what i mean i dont think one of the senders was ever connected and the reason its started now is beacuse i put some new clocks in and the rev counter is setting of the buzzer beacuse the person before me was using an aftermarket rev counter
