i currently have a 1.8t , so i thought i would have a quick gander on how much it would cost me on an r32, as i am 21 i would like to move
up to that car next year. Now i was going to put out a thread asking who people who are insured with>but i did a quick search first!

Get a quote from HIC or Green Flag they were way cheaper than any one else for me  :smiley:

Zurich for me, cheap as chips

I got quoted under £900 for an evo 7, £1800 is crazy for and R32!

Good tip if anyone is struggling to insure cheap, just say that you have owned the car for about 3-4 years and that will knock a few hundred off even if you have never been insured on it before

But its not an R32. When I was 24 and I got my MG ZR160 that was £2200 with Direct line  :shocked:

I paid £1100 for my mk5 R32, 22 years old. All one payment. Would have been £900 if i didnt want to protect the no claims  :grin:

When I was looking at the R32 mine was about £980 fully comp, I was amazed I didnt think I was going to get insured at all.

Ive got a drink drive on my licence aswell not proud of that but thought it would be alot more was only slightly over so im sure that must make a difference.  :huh:

I pay a smidge over £600 for mine with Admiral. Had to ring and shout at them first though because they originally wanted £800 when the renewal came through.

i wasnt referring to the first price,,    i was referring to the 4th price down, 1800 pound isnt too bad, it was the other that scared me  :grin:

£1888 at 21? Not bad for an R32 surely? Would cost me that as an 18yr old on a 1.4 MK3.

i pay £700 as a named driver on my dads for a 1.4 if i insured by myself the cheapest i got quoted was about £1200 for a 1.4!!!
i am 18 though...

OMFG!!  Cheapest I can get an R32 for is a big over £1,300!  Considering I'm 25, been driving for 8 years, and have 6 years no claims, that's a bit of a joke!!

I only pay £625 fully comp for my 1.8T, and I live in Manchester.

First I've heard of it and I cant make it anyways so no. My next big meet other than the usual monthly Brands meet is GTI spring fest after the RR day at R-tech.

people are meeting at sandbach services at 7am

There are something like 50 golfs meeting there, then on the convoy to ultimate dubs there will be more vws joining on more service
stations :smiley: :smiley:
