Do many people run 18s on there golf if so have you lowered it and how much buy??

i have mkv 18" reps on mine and its lowered 50mm

steve does u frnt arb catch ur drive shaft? Mine does. I am thinking of getting coilles and wind them down 45mm cheers

I got a whiteline front ARB fitted, got it fitted when I had the coilies fitted so dont know if it would catch  :undecided:

Could i just buy 40mm drop springs and fit them without changing the shocks?

Yep running on 18's with a drop of around 40 mm (koni shocks & springs)

any other recomended shock besides Koni, just lookign at the price etc and for that money i would consider buying a decent set of collies tbh  :undecided:

Bav has had AP coilovers fitted to his Golf? Havent heard what he thinks of them yet though?

Think the AP coilovers were only slightly more than that fitted.  :smiley:

Indeed they were not cheap i thought about collies but decided just to go with this kit in the end think it was £390 + VAT

use drop links and arb with coilovers and you should be able to go right down.i use 40mm springs on mine and have never had an issue.with18s aswell

18" R32 wheels on mine, not lowered to my knowledge.

I'm thinking of going for a set of Hot Tuning Coilovers though ?

mines got uprated arb and coilovers with 18's i dropped it as far as i could,"with out it rubbing",makes nasty bangs when going over dips in road tho
