Hi Guys,
When installing my sound system i noticed what I think is my alarm and immobiliser installation

Can I use this to have a keyfob made as i have none :(
Secondly im not sure but i think it leads to this at the back of my glove box, what is it?

Thanks

Looks like an imobiliser fob socket. with regard to the alarm fob you may need a card with a code on it, mines like that anyway.
-
so what happens when you plug your fob into this socket?
-
First pic is a ultrasonic processor detection box. Do you have a Cat1? or little boxes on the A or C pillers/dash?

By little boxes you mean like little black things on the top of the pillars either side of the windscreen? I have two circular ones :undecided:
-
1st pic is clearly for ultrasonics
2nd pic is for an alarm bypass, IE if the batteries died in your alarm fob , the fob could be put in the socket to bypass alarm/immobilisor
Possible made by META or simular

Yea.....do you have an alarm? If so that is what detects the intrusion.

I don't have an alarm, or at least not one installed. Although behind my glovebox I have a couple of wires disconnected? Even if I did have an alarm I have no key for it? Just my normal VW key.

Like these? Me thinks someone has retro fitted an aftermarket alarm, then removed it.
sorry to temp hijack the thread.....

No not like those, I'll have to get a pic tomorrow whilst I'm trying to sort out the sounds lol ;) Cheers for the input though buddy. Besides there's no hijacking, the other chap is probably in bed fast asleep lol!

This is the socket for the fob of a standard logic alarm I have it. This is to overide by pluging this into it

On the other side of the fob there is metal contacts that connect with the contact in your picture !!

This is the same as mine, its a conlog alarm/immobiliser(gen VW aftermarket). there were a few on ebay brand new the other week for about £30 posted so if you wanted you could just replace the control box and you would have a working alarm again, This is what i did as i only had one remote fob
-
PM me and I'll give you the contact of a guy he sells them... I bought a replacement alarm brain and 2 fobs for £15 (Only needed the fob casing as mine cracked) !! He bought all the conlog stock when they went bust !!

Hi Leegt5 - any chance you could let me know contact details of the Conlog guy. Probs with my 900. Thanks
