right my weitec springs are annoying me now
i lowered the rear from 40mm to 50mm ,and it looks bloody higher, i know you have to give them time to settle in, but its been a week now and still looks the bloody same
so today i grabbed 3 massive rocks and put them in my boot, maybe that will settle them in

Just be patient mate. I have got mine on 50mm drop weitecs. Just needs time to settle. Mine took about 5 weeks

Lots of people have them on here - mainly mk3's.
All seem to be very pleased TBH
-
hmm dont know weather to get them. Or get uprated dampers to go with my wietec springs
-
Lot's of people complain about coilies being harsh and bouncy without looking into the reasons why, what they don't realise is that when they're running low, they'll be riding on the bump stops. The secret is to trim them down
I cut mine here

When cutting the bump stops down does that allow you to go lower than before then? Never heard of this being done??

It's well known with those that run super low,it allows the damper to travel further, giving a better ride quality over bouncing on the rubber bump stops(harsh and crashy).
-
So Patch you just trimmed the right hand side of the BS (of that pic) off?
-
Yes,i'm left with two thirds.
-
wud springs and shocks nt get over this bump stop issues?

Not if you want to go low,i think the lowest spring kit is a 50m drop, coilies can go 100m drop or more.Really depends how low you want to go.
-
i am 50mm on springs. Want to go higher. I want to go to 40mm
-
That's the beauty of coilies, wheel off adjust 10mm and wheel back on.

Thats why I bought coilovers and not springs and shocks
-
yup wish i ordered coillies. Thinking of them hot tuning ones. Hmm
-
I'm going to get coilies (well ii I ever get round to it) going for FK's or Weitec.
-
you not looked into the hot tuning ones TIG?
-
Nope, I think I want a decent branded set, £150 suspension although has been praised can't be that good. The only thing tempting me with the eBay ones is the price.
-
yup i was thinking that. But it gets a good review. Few ppl on here got them.
-
Buy 'em and try 'em.
-
I wouldnt stick £150 suspension on my motor
