Title: WEITEC
Post by: jake on 15 February 2009, 15:47
right my weitec springs are annoying me now

i lowered the rear from 40mm to 50mm ,and it looks bloody higher, i know you have to give them time to settle in, but its been a week now and still looks the bloody same

so today i grabbed 3 massive rocks and put them in my boot, maybe that will settle them in

Lot's of people complain about coilies being harsh and bouncy without looking into the reasons why, what they don't realise is that when they're running low, they'll be riding on the bump stops. The secret is to trim them down

I cut mine here

When cutting the bump stops down does that allow you to go lower than before then? Never heard of this being done??

It's well known with those that run super low,it allows the damper to travel further, giving a better ride quality over bouncing on the rubber bump stops(harsh and crashy).

Not if you want to go low,i think the lowest spring kit is a 50m drop, coilies can go 100m drop or more.Really depends how low you want to go.

Nope, I think I want a decent branded set, £150 suspension although has been praised can't be that good. The only thing tempting me with the eBay ones is the price.
