Title: Heater Matrix problem
Post by: monkeyinmyhead on 15 February 2009, 15:44
Hey all, Just swapped over the heater matrix using a very handy guide sourced from these hallowed pages but without success, followed it to the letter and still no heat coming through.

Any ideas?

2 valves in the pipework in the engine bay, one silver / metal the other black / plastic .

they can cause no HEAT, i swapped mine but they are getting like rocking horse doo dah.

if it a new matrix you CAN remove these, do a search, loads of info about it

I think eurocarparts still do the pressure relief - but you shouldnt need to fit then if you have fitted a decent quality new matrix  (relief valved fitted as part of a recall as some Mk2 matrix's (matrices ?) burst spraying occupants with steam - idea being valve would prevent injury).
