its just on the curve on the body work next to the window rubber which it as cut a little to.
looks like a respray , is it best to take it to vw workshop, the car is reflex silver and i have seen silver

Oops :(

FWIW, it happened to my beloved Subaru Turbo about 7 years ago. (silver too)
I'd just detailed it - put it back in the garage (where it spent most of its time!!) and set the alarm.

That night, the garage alarm went off, so I ran downstairs with my baseball bat (for sports purposes only ;) ) and opened the front door.
The garage door thankfully was still shut (and locked).
As I opened the garage door, I felt something rush out from underneath the door. Both the car and garage alarms were going off - quite a racket really!
Turned the lights on, reset the alarms...... and then saw what had happened.

A fookin cat had been up in the rafters of the garage when I'd alarmed/shut the garage. When the scrawny little sod had woken up, it knocked my old Sky dish off the shelves above the car...........it proceeded to fall onto my baby.

Dug a 4" GASH into the bonnet (just next to the bonnet scoop) :(
Also knocked my Golf clubs that fell against the wing and creased that too.

I fookin hate cats

I cost me a blinkin fortune :(

Hope you get it sorted painlessly

Dan

FWIW, later that year, somebody turned my Scoob into a boomerang shape :(
It was resprayed/repaired, and you couldn't tell the difference. They did a cracking job :)

You might be lucky - are you going to get VW to do it?

Dan :)

I had a nasty scrape on the drivers door that went from where the handle starts to the back door. Cost me £500 to get it done professionally - used an accident repair centre that use Jags, Audis, Porsches and BMWs as their clientele. Did a fantastic job. You cannot tell it's been resprayed.

Ask your VW dealer where they go to get their jobs done.

I had a couple of garage incidents on my old golf....

Cleaned and polished, parked in garage, not far enough in..Shut the door on it.... :embarassed:

Couple of weeks later, same again, this time parked it well in,shut the garage door, heard a noise of falling stuff, opened garage door,Skateboard had fallen off its wall mount, griptape side down, landed on car and slid off..that really hurt...

I park on the drive now

I had a rear bumper redone on a reflex silver Golf I owned and it looked fine. That was an independent bodyshop.

I have a new philosophy on minor dents and scratches..

Firstly I have a 10 inch U shaped scratch on the rear quarter, 2 parking dents on one rear door and now a minor dent on the boot, where I think I motorbike fell on it.  and a scratch on the bumper.

My theory is that I can live with them, as by spending upto £500 sorting them, I am never going to get my money back.  Ironically, I am a bit of a perfectionist and would rather my car is immaculate, but its not, thats life.

If and only if, I cant sell the car because of them, I'll get them done, as no doubt there will be others by then.

One example is my girlfriend who had an accident, finally got a pay out, was getting quotes to get it fixed and then wrote the car off.  So in that instance it would of been throwing money down the drain.

I know we dont have a crystal ball, but if I was you, I would try live with it for a month before signing that cheque.

Then you could spend the cash on a fun mod or something.

I had my front bumper scratch repaired and sprayed by a company called SHINE! who sub-contract for Halfords. Did a good job too and you can't tell the difference.
