not been on for a long time so hi . my gti is 3 years old end of may and dont know what to do is it best to have it serviced early just before its 3 years so if anything is wrong vw pay and not me , also after its 3 years is it beat to have vw service it or vag specialist . had my mk 4 gti done witn c & m enterprises in nottingham

Call you dealer and book it in for a check over - explain the warranty is about up and you want it checked over for this reason, they normally oblige.
As for servicing - its completely up to you, always making that decision when you first take it away from VW is difficult so you can still say you have full FVWSH rather than FSH. You are really only paying for the stamp, not like they are any better than a VAG specialist.

dude service it early and bring up any queries that you have, if its been reliable then there is not a lot of reason to panic and think its gonna collapse now. I am in a very similar deal to yourself, but cos I like peace of mind I was intending to extend the original vw warrenty???? have you had any thoughts on this???
cheers

How much is the extended warranty these days ?
With DSG, I think I'd also consider this.
