Got a big trip planned for the golf tomorrow, and ended up having to take the driver's wishbone out tonight and shagging one of the bushings in the process.
The likelyhood of being able to get a bushing for a Mk2 Golf where I live is slim to say the least.
I need to know is there any other type of bushing that'll fit, like one out of a Mk3 for example.
It is the bushing at the rear of the wishbone that bolts upwards into the chasis.
Thanks.

mk3 bushes fit, easyer and not much more expensive just to buy new wishbone, there actually used on quite a few newer cars so readly avalible

Thanks.
I take it that there are different wishbones on a Mk2 though?

wishbones are diffrent, mk2 wishbones still vevry avalible. i'm heavly biased no into not reuseing old ones, new ones are not much diffrent in price to bushes and easyer to fit. even if polybushing would buy new wishbone and put the polys in that. #
if you can do the pair can transform the car massivly for the better

look up your local gsf, highly likely they'll have mk2 bones with bushes on the shelf. if it was me I'd buy a pair, dont forget to buy the metal slieves that go inside the rear bush.
