Title: Admiral
Post by: jay cee on 12 February 2009, 10:44
I got a policy on a MK3 Golf GTI for £500 TPFT, with zero no claims bonus from Admiral. Parking on a street in central London. Not a bad price I think.

i have a multi car policy with admiral and their price on the two cars was actually lower than most quotes i could find on one. never had to make a claim but when setting it up they seemed really helpfull, although i struggled to understand the chap as he was so welsh, but uk based call centres are a plus.

I'm with them too.

TPFT
20
No NCB
Parked on street
Declared lowering and alloys

£890

However this October I'll be looking at £500 :)

yep, i couldn't fault their service at all.

For central London, high crime area! and parking on the street, my price of £500 was a bargain, a crappy standard car was coming out at the same!!!

I got my insurance for £1400 fully comp on my mk3 :undecided: and im only 18. Some of those quotes seem quite high but is that purely because its london?

London postcodes are sh!t !

Mate of mine moved out to the sticks and saved £300 alone on just changing his postcode.

yes, but if you had that many people in any town/city, it would be the same. crap hey. the strange thing is, I rarely see piles of broken window glass in my area so I don't know if crime stats are rising or dropping.

Probably going with Admiral for my insurance this year as they beat everyone else by about 10% and didn't want a stupid voluntary excess. £257 Fully comp, protected no claims, £150 excess. Does help being 36...

The cheek everyone knows the vr is the most ecnomical VW engine

I agree i use about 2-300 quids worth a month, i do cover approx 1000miles maybe more.

The quote is quite a jump down from what i was quoted locally but you have the big toys you have the bills to boot.

Isnt it just. My MK5 was over 2k to insure last year, to cut a long story short I didnt pay that but you get the idea.
