How different do the R32 vs standard vs poly actually feel?  I'm going to replace all my engine mounts this year, they must need it!!

Fell, you don't really feel any difference, it's more about the engine not twitting the bumper every time you start the car

R32 mount is easily more than enough.

open the bonnet and stand in front of the car

get someone to start the car and watch to see if your engine tries to jump out at you - alternatively see if you can rock the engine back and forth

also when on the move you'll possibly find your gearchange a bit sloppy and also feel more than usual engine movement when on full throttle

I've not seen you at the bottom of my stairs, else you could borrow mine  :smug:

My issue is vibration back through the car around 80mph+ (on my airfield).  I've swapped the whichbones, had the tracking done when I did a tre and rack end, so think it can only be wheel balancing (new wheels due April), or engine mounts.  At 170k, they've got to need doing.  Replacement struts/springs 2010!

Fitted my dogbone mount on Sunday was easier than I thought it would be. The clonk you hear sometimes when pulling away has got alot quieter but theres still a slight clonk sometimes? Its having 2 new front wheel bearings fitted today so asked my old man to get him to have a look and see if he can see what it could be.

Also picked up 5 litres of Fully Synth Synta Gold at the weekend along with oil filter and sump plug so will do the 5000 mile oil change at the weekend and give mine and Lukes throttle bodies a clean along with a was and polish.

after reading this posts it appears i maybe best spendin my money on sorting my car out. when i first drive in 1st n 2nd, the cars a bit juddery unless i put my foot down, and even tho i have had a uprated arb fitted it still makes a nasty bang on drives side when going over bumps or lil dips in the road, also my steering wheel is slanted to the right when driving str8, if i put the steerin wheel str8 the car flys off to the left, wheels are balanced and tracking has been done?? and do i need a r32 dog bone? sorry if i have high jacked the post but pointless openin up a new 1

Pop the bonnet mate and get someone to sit inside pull the handbrake up select first and rock it backwards and forwards slowly in gear. If the engine looks like its moving more than it should it could be your dogbone mount. Was only £73 for the part and didnt take long to fit made mine loads better.
