just out of boredom, i have decided i would love to replace my standard gear box with a quick shift system. is this possible, anyone ever done this and what sort of cost do you think we would be talking???
-
what car is it mate ? dieselgeek make kits for most models.
-
im assuming you have a mk2 they are about ?25 and reduce gear throw between 30-70% depending on your setting
-
you serious... only 25 quid. yeah i have an old 86 mk2.... well i'll have it back from the garage sometime today hopefully... whoever invented curbs on motorways should be shot to sh!t
-
we are talking about those nifty little rally car type gear shifter... up, down only arent we.. don't know what they are called
-
You mean sequential gear shifting...
Thats a whole different thing!!
Short shifts are east to get and cheap... They just change the pivot point of the gear stick, meaning each gear change is shorter to do.
-
yeah that's it mate.. any ideas if its even possible... thought #25 was cheap!!!!!!
anyone got this done or not???
