Don't think so, also I believe a GTI spec one is wider.

it will bolt up but some may be wider than MK2s as said, but shouldnt cause you any issues unless you have mega low offset wheels.  There is a thread on MK3 beam widths on clubgti :)

Brake line and compensator positioning is different.

Beam is wider.

Provided you're prepared to review your brake lines you will get the benefit of wider track - more stable car.

good point about that, i beleve some didnt have a compensator at all, certain types of ABS?  could be wrong on that one though just a vague recollection.

Well I've seen ABS and non-ABS models and they've all had compensator.

Maybe you're thinking of some random ETKA illustration for a third world market or something.  :huh:

nah just something I vaguely recall reading, probably got the wrong end of the stick on that then I guess.  either way look at what the new beam has vs what you have on your car and it should become obvious what needs doing
