Title: New lad checkin in

Hi all, just signed up, thought i'd introduce myself before i have a look around  :wink:
I'm Mark, 32 yrs young from Leeds.
At the moment i've got a Black '08 3dr Golf GTi Edition 30 which i bought in March of last year.
Its my 4th GTi, previous ones being: '96 N plate Flash Red 3dr 8v(2nd best car i ever had, after the ed 30), '00 W plate Indigo Blue 3dr 2.0 8v with cream leather and Santa Monicas(worst car i ever owned bar none!!), '00 X plate 3dr Silver 1.8T with black leather Recaros.
Anyhow i'm a bit of a GTi geek an thought i'd come on here an meet some more  :nerd: :rolleyes: :grin:

i was shocked at the horse power (or lack of it when i got one) now 3 months later in a nice 1.8T :grin:

Bought the mk4 2.0 GTi (should have said GLi lol) from the mk3 2.0 being such a great car, that was never going to break any records but there was enough for me (at the time!). Should have driven the mk4 a bit harder on test drive! The car was constantly off the road, had it 2 yrs and replaced lambda sensors 3...yes...3 times, amongst other stuff! It was so bad a straight swapped it for a diesel astra estate!! :shocked:

Welcome mate. Your 2.0 was alright for a first car apart from the problems with it  :grin:

My Golf hasnt really cost me much now my insurance money paid out prob about £1500 I would say  :cool:
