Title: This sub any good?
Post by: Josho on 07 February 2009, 11:54
Was down Halfrauds earlier getting some T-Cut when I saw this: Sub (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_504691_langId_-1_categoryId_165748)

Sub on it's own though, no box for £20. Only difference is it said designed by Vibe on the rim.

Any good? Not really looking for a sub right now, but if it's a good deal in the sale then. I was wantting a 10" but I dunno.

Opinions?

EDIT: eBay to exact sub (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FLI-Audio-Frequency-12-v2-12-Inch-Subwoofer-Sub-VIBE_W0QQitemZ350161805423QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Audio_TV_Electronics_In_Car_Entertainment_GPS_Car_Speakers_PP?hash=item350161805423&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1689|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318)

Looks good for £20 mate. Always look at the RMS and the frequency range, the higher/bigger range, then better really. 12" is also a good all rounder, will handle bass-lines and kicks pretty good. Just read the manual and find out the best sub box capacity for it (usually in litres).

Only downside is that you'll obviously need a box, wiring kit and amp for it, so may be cheaper to buy an enclosed one.

fli is the cheap range that vibe do. and that isnt a great deal really as the fli comes setup with its own box, which is specifically made for the the sub, as is the amp.

you can get decent subs in boxes off ebay very cheap. i got one for 99p!

LL ;)

Want to fibre glass this one in. Gonna put some sound proofing in. I've decided, I'm getting this car up and running, then saving up for a colour oncept when I can drive.

Then I will rip the colour concept apart, do everything I want to do to it, Audi A6 handles, sound proofing ect. while I have a run around, then I will use my concept and my little bro can buy my car off me.
