Title: Montreal 2 Questions
Post by: saalro on 06 February 2009, 21:28
What offset are the Montreal 2's GTI Mark 4 Wheels, i saw this:

6.5x16 ET42 5/100 Montreal II

But i heard they where ET38? Also my tyres are 205 55 16, and 205 MM is 8.07086614 inches? And them stats above say they are 6.5? Am i looking at this the wrong way? The tyre can't be .75 inch widder over the two sides of the alloy can it?

Also what does the 5/100 mean.

Thanksss.

5x100 = stud pattern
et42 = offset (the higher the number the further into the wheel arch it will be)
6.5 x 16= is the size and yes 205/55/16 will be fine.

Thanks for the help but :rolleyes: i'm aware of what all the stats mean apart from the stud pattern, but i know that now lol, i just thought the offset for Moreal 2's weren't ET42, i thought they were sligtly lower, is ET42 correct then?

And i assumed that because the tyre size is about 8 inch wide for this specific wheel and the alloy itself is only 6.5 inches wide, i thought the stats might be wrong. I'm really just wanting an answer to whether these figures i have are correct?!
