Title: Milltek / Custom Exhaust
Post by: illyun on 05 February 2009, 16:19
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a Milltek exhaust for the 16v - or a very good custom exhaust maker.

Try pipewerx in lancashire. They are very good custom exhaust specialists.

I would personally go with Longlife or Milltek..  a lifetime guarantee goes a long way and the craftsmanship is spot on too. Ben

Not heard of Longlife but I'll have a look.  Would have gone with Milltek but they don't make them anymore   Unless someone has a 2nd hand one they don't want

I have a full system on mine, you can choose the amount of baffle, I went for mildsport.    They fabricate the whole lot there and then, even the boxes.  Think they spend 4 hours on mine.  Good investment as you can transfer the lifetime guarantee when you sel the car on, and even get it fitted to another car, should you choose to. Was £340, from the downpipe backwards. It was £300 originally, but I wanted a swanky tailpipe.

No its just about right, as before they can baffle it as much as you like... the full sport option would have been far too loud though!!  They give a nice tone aswell, more sporty sounding than anything.

Thanks a lot guys - you've been very helpful and the price sounds very good... now I just need to get my hands on one of the last 16v Milltek manifolds and ask Longlife to make sure the exhaust fits.

any ideas ???

i dont want to change the rear box as i like the design and the sound of it :)
