my car was at a VW specialist yesterday trying to find a rather annoying intermittent vibration im getting.
anyhow while going all round the car he noticed that the gearbox didnt seem to be an 020y box i.e. a proper 16v box
but in actual fact it was stamped 6M (or 6W) - he hadnt a clue where this box came from as he had never heard of it before
anybody else any ideas?
also, where is the gearbox code stamped? so i can have a look myself to see if i can see the code
