Hi all, just a quick hello. I recently picked up a mk.2 GTi 16v from ebay. Wasn't after a Golf specifically, but saw it ending with no bids so took the chance. In actually fact it wasn't in a good condition as the seller made out but I'm slowly ironing out the faults and issues with the handbrake and gearbox aside, it's a really nice car. I don't go for cars from a particular country or marque, just ones that are different and fun to drive. Here's a few with my mates 'rocco on the way back

I swapped the wheels afterwards for some Kahn RSRs which I think suit it quite well

Those are only quick pictures, when I have time/if the weather ever improves I'll get some decent ones. Yes I know the side trim and aerial have fallen off, I'll get them back on asap. I'd like to do some things to it but to be honest I don't have any great plans. Reason being I'm off to New Zealand in about 6 months so am trying to save every penny I earn! In case you were wondering what's parked behind, then that's my other car:

A 1975 Datsun 120y saloon, another ebay purchase and one of about 20 in the country. I love them both but for very different reasons. Enjoy!
