Title: detailing prices?
Post by: vaughn on 04 February 2009, 12:30
you can`t beat a nice loking clean car and some of the finishes you detailers get are excellent, but i never seem to see any prices i know it`s probably down to what you want and how bad your swirls are.
so what would you charge me to detail the outside of my mk5 with some paint correction i.e swirls?

Varies massively from what i've looked at. Asking for paint correction is when you start getting into the bigger £££.

For example:  http://www.gleamingkleen.co.uk/treatments.html   (Normal detail £150, correction £400)

Thanks for the post.

I charge for a winter protection detail from £150 and correction details from £250 depending on size and paintwork condition.

Regards
Paul

hi Guys,
just thought Id chime in as was directed to this thread from my webstats.

Paint correction is where the bigger ££ comes in as alot more time and skill is taken. I lot of detailers do paint correction in 1 day, however I take from atleast 2 days on all paint correction jobs undertaken as I personally feel 1 day is not enough time and with 2+ days a much higher standard is achievable as you are not rushed.

If it requires just a single stage (enhancement detail) machine polish then this is achieavable in 1 day but if carrying out a multi stage paint correction detail you need more than 1 day.

Each detailer works differently but this how i work as my aim is to offer complete customer satifaction and achieve the very best finish

Hope that helps
