brakes of a mk4 golf 1.8t standard brakes fit a mk1?

i beleive the mk4 have 5 studs the mk1 has 4 studs m8 so unlesss the mk4 has 4 studs ur outa luck there

where as if they do have 4 studs

ask someone like rubjonny hes really good when it comes to wht parts fit an what don't

not without serious modification, carrier mountings are different, disc offset all wrong etc.  Biggest option you can fit easily is a set of 280 4 stud calipers n carriers using conversion brackets from the caddy forum.

Another option is the late mk 256mm setup which easy enough to fit.

scirooc 16v and early audi 80 carriers are what you need for a bolt on 256 upgrade on a MK1, the bolt spacing on the carriers must be 75mm (MK2/3 are 95mm)

Yes was thinking Audi carriers.
