Title: Wheel Offset for a Mk1
Post by: Nickveedub on 29 June 2004, 13:00
I'm currently looking at some Mini rims for my Mk1, just for that old skool look. I've found some i like and when i asked the retailer what the offset was he said thay were a +6??? This just confused me to S*&t.... I was expecting 38 etc. Also the PCD is 4+101 but he said the manufacturor could change them..... Any ideas whether these will fit or not.

That doesn't sound a very likely offset! If you are meaning the old Mini, 4*101 does ring a bell which is not quite the 4*100 you need. That's so slightly out you may be able to machine them but probably not a good idea. Either find some others or be prepared for effort and money to sort them :)

mini's are a 4x101.6 PCD (dont forget the 0.6 !  :P ) thats 4x4 inches to the stone age among us.
It is quite possible the offset is 6mm, you can even have negative offset wheels for a mini. Although ET12 - ET15 was about the average if i remember right.
