Title: 16" steelies, but what sized tyres??

hi guys,
just picked up a set of 16" steelies untill i can decide what alloys to get
only problem is they didnt come with tyres. so i plan to buy a cheap set of 2nd handers....

so can anyone tell me what the ideal size tyres are to run on 16s..... 45/50?

(its on a mk3 with -40 drop)

think their 7" wide but will double check in a sec.thanks don

215/45's i would suggest

195/45/16 - 205/45/16 or 215/40/16 are all good and correct size to keep the gearing spot on.
