Title: Golf MK3 1.8GL clutch fit 1.4?

I'm assuming they are both 8V, our 1.8GL is.

I just seriously smoked mine trying to tow a car up a drive (emergancy). Wanted to change it anyway, it might be OK but I want to change it for when I start driving.

Is it a big job?

Nope....they use differnt gearboxes and different sized clutches

Sucks. I thinkmy clutch is OK, but I was gonna change it anyway.

There is a 1.8 on eBay for 99p and no bids, little time left.
