Title: 3k Idle for first few mins after starting...

As above. Its done this for ages, did it for as long as the previous owner had it for as well.

It starts fine and idles just over 1K, then it slowly rises up to almost 3k exactly. It will stay there for maybe 2 or 3 mins and then a blip of the throttle will bring it down to a nice 900 burble. Took off and cleaned the iddle control valve on top of the throttle body and all the breather pipes which has made sod all difference.

Any ideas??  :undecided:

checkthe idle switch clicks, and the wires to it have not snapped :)
