WHEN START 20L 16V CAR UP HOT OR COLD IT IDLE AS IT SHOULD :cool: BUT WHEN PUT SOME REVS ON IT THE IDLE STAYS AROUND 1300 RPM  :rolleyes: IF I STICK IN GEAR AND DRAG THE CLUTCH THE REVES GO BACK DOWN :angry:

similar prob myself, blip the throttle and it drops down to where it should be, doesnt cause to much trouble but just a niggle.

cleaned TB but still the same, its as if the throttle cable is sticking but its not!!

zee 16v has no maf, i would look at the vacuum lines on the throttle body, fuel pressure regulator and crank breather pcv make sure there are no air leaks, oh and check the actual breather hose to the pcv as they get all soft n knackered with age.  Also worth getting vag-com on it, see if the ecu has flagged up anything.
