Title: Wpier blade/arm.

Is there a standard size of wiper blade or arm. My offside blade is too long and is wearing away at my screen rubber. Putting a smaller blade on will do the jobbie but I will then have a big arc at the bottom of the screen that the blade won't wipe.

Is this a blade or arm issue?

I had the same problem with mine (1990 8V). The recommended size is an 18" blade but this was hitting the rubber at the top of the screen. I just put a 17" one on it and that solved the problem. I supppose the arc at the bottom would then be bigger but it wasn't noticeable.

Not sure why it did that in the first place. Perhaps somebody replaced the arm with an incorrect one at some stage.

The blades should be the same length.

The passenger side arm is shorter.
