Had front wheels re aligned today, what a difference!! Question is though whats the worst thing that throws them out?
I am assuming pot holes and speed bumps or is it just our crap roads in general?

As you've said really. Pot holes, speed bumps, driving into kerbs, turning the steering wheel when the wheel is against the kerb, track rod end not being tight, worn steering rack bushes, loose steering rack nuts, worn wheel bearings/replacement, worn ball joint/replacement, worn suspension strut/replacement, worn wishbone/replacement, loose ball joint bolts, loose suspension strut bolt, any loose bolts around the wheel area, lowering/raising the suspension, changing the camber etc.
Almost anything can knock it out!

WOW! Okay, cool. Scared to drive my car now incase it gets knocked out again if i sneeze.
Did notice a bit of play in the near side whilst it was jacked up so will be looking into that sharpish!

Hi
Once you have cured the play, I suppose you will have to get the wheels realigned.

Sounds very much like it yes. That's okay tho as it only cost £28 and took about 1/2 an hour.

Yeah, any changes to anything attached to the wheels usually requires the tracking to be done.

Go to one of those places and you get a little print out too showing the before and after for camber/castor/toe. I don't trust any other equipment anymore, I'm all about the print outs ;)
