has any one any ideas of when the new gti is avaialble for factory order still love the mk 5 but possibly holding out for the new one currently drive a saab 93 1.9 tdi but drove a mk 5 last week great car but the new one is suppossidly awesome    any review out there   cheers first time on site FAB info

If no one knows the dates for the GTI id phone the dealer in the morning, he / she will tell you straight away when its due. Going from the poor memory I have I think its Autumn but Im really not sure at all.

Can't see them bringing the car out if the slump continues.
What an awful time to release the Mk6.

I think its out in June 2009...

I too was told 'June' from my VW dealer, but he said that was penciled in, rather than set in stone.
