right, the later models have a safety fdeature to wind em down if they think you got your head stuck in the glass, is the window stiff at all?

try holding the button down, or 'catching' the window as it starts to roll down again.  its possible the 1 touch system has come out of calibration.  Also i believe the MK3s can suffer from problems with regulator clips that hold the glass?

thats the bit that moves the window up n down, its behind the door card.  if you take the door card off and watch the window while it tries to move, the problem may become obvious :)

sounds like the pressure sensor is playing up more than the regulator. (although this could be in part due to the reg)

They are fitted with them, so that once they are up they will stay up due to the pressure back on them, however, if it detects pressure within the shorter distance (i.e. the distance it travels from top to bottom) then it will default release back to the bottom of the window.
