So I went into Audi after work today, quoted W8N0711751A to him. He's adamant that is not a valid part number, says it brings up nothing on his system. If I'm honest the guy was being a complete and utter pr!ck!
I don't even know what car he was looking at, but I've ordered some 5 speed FWD manual short shifter. Cost £21.16 + vat. The code is different, because as I say he told me the one I quoted is invalid, but it does have 711 in, and an A at the end. Here's a copy of the form. Reckon it's the right one? :undecided:

Hmmmmm. I really think it's the wrong one, U8N instead of W8N, and 046 instead of 751. He was adamant that W8N0711751A did not exist on the system though :undecided:

Yeah, that's right. Part numbers changed some time last year iirc. (the picture didn't show up at first which is why i asked in my earlier post  )

Cheers mate. I just rung a different garage, and he told me it's definitely for a mk1 Audi TT, and I know for a fact it's for a 5 speed, front wheel drive manual, as I picked that bit myself

Yeah that's fine. The only thing different with the later ones is the cable attachment is held by a pin rather than the ball/socket on yours.
