Title: Chips . . Any good?

I've been speaking to someone and i've been offered a chip for my gti 8v for £35. Just wondering what your thoughts are guys

Hmm, looks like the chip i bought for £20 a while ago. It did make a difference, the car pulled more smoothly and felt more willing above 3.5-4k rpm. Wouldn't really say it added any power, definitely didn't make it 125bhp!

Edit: he also sells resistors for £10 and calls them chips, so personally i wouldn't believe anything he says in his ads :wink:

i know it won't make the car 125bhp  :grin: just wondering if it's worth the £35 or not bother? i had a chip in my old car and it felt smoother and better pick up, but that was a superchips one.
