WRONG! Keep guessing  ;D

Clue, a BMW and a VW have sex, What would the outcome be like?

Basically. The parts im fitting are:

BMW style rear lights
BMW DTM mirrors
a debadged Jetta grill (already done)
Some deep dish M3 Alloys (soon to come)
And by far the best piece of these conversions, Costing me a grand total of ?490 to compleate. M3 side skirts.

And to top all this off, a BMW black respray comming up in 9 months, and Very soon, a BMW motor conversion  ;D

two months for that ? damn... if you want a quote for any spraying or kit fitting drop me a pm.
my brother in law owns a bodyshop and i'll probably end up doing most of the work myself... a genuine VW nut, think about it.

Chris.

I have a good place for painting, A friends dad owns a bodyshop and he does me some great deals, The only problem is fitting. His company sadly has a policy against fitting aftermarket parts because they have had some bad experences in the past.

The M3 skirts have cost me ?140 to buy, ?80 to paint and now i need to fit them, problem is that there gonna need some cutting and some fixing, the guys who make em recon that you can just pop-rivit them at each end onto the arches and then put 4 rivits down under the door where the skirts tuck under Which wouldnt take a bodyshop more than 30 mins each and wouldnt cost the earth. However when i took it to a bodyshop that specilises in this sorta stuff, they said they need to have custom made brackets for it and all sorts to stop them flapping, They wanted to put in aluminium rales, and about 5 custom brackets down them, They also wanted ?120 CASH! almost as much as they cost!!!!

Another place recons that 2 brackets each will be enaught, but they wanted ?100 EACH!!!!!!

Ive got about ?60-?80 to spend to fit them, Im very reluctant to spend more than ?60 because that alone is almost 50% what they where worth, So tophum mate, if you knew a place i could get this done fairly cheaply it would REALLY help me out  :)

Yeah, For now im anctiously awaiting the release of the BMW 1series, I hear it has an in-line 4 that would fit into a Mk2 perfectally. Failing that im waiting a year and dropping a 16V lump in it  ;D

(i was after it but its a serious distance from me and i cant get hold of a trailer before then :'( looks too good in pics to scrap it, but thats what the chap is gonna do (scrappy picking up on monday!!)

I would but i have no place to keep the 16V untill i can pay to get it converted ;)

A BMW dash would look the part. Im putting loads more parts in soon, Working full time during the holidays is helping me out loads, ?600 A month everything except ?91 a month insurance going to my dub  ;D

However i am in desporate need of bodycoloured G60 arches, As my arches are scratched and dented to hell and im finding it impossible to find any online  >:(

So far heres whats going on:

Ive got M3 style twister side skirts in the living room, Painted and ready, Just waiting to get em fitted

Im ordering a 3 piece strut set

Ive got a rear defuser waiting to be painted

I also have two POD style DTM mirrors awaiting painting

Im ordering 2 new doors as my left ones are shaged

Im also ordering some M3 syle rear lamps

my doors are being shaved and painted, Then the mouldings are being replaced with VW bora door protectors (to protect them from jellious people who park in the car park of my work and slam into my doors)  >:(

As soon as i can get a buddy to help me im having a green undergrow under my dash to match the green dial glow, green shift light and rev counter and green sterio

And im waiting for my Neons to arive (i know i know! i just want them!)

;D Its all pritty manic right now, Carbon fiber hood should be comming next month as well

Possibly. Although im very happy with my current alloys at the moment, and a lot of people seem to comment about them and how nice they are so im keeping them for the time being  ;D

*Edit* - Woha! What about some newer BMW Deep Dish rims, Check this shot i found online:

That pic looks like it's been photo-shopped.  Look at the front wheel - it's a bit dodge.

All that has to wait for now, i still need to sort out what to do with the bloody arches!  >:( I might see if i can get em rolled out to the size of G60 arches, If not ill try and rub down a set of G60 arches and get em painted

At the moment not much is acctually on the car except the jetta front conversion i got from fraiser.

The M3 mirrors and skirts are sitting in my living room awaiting fitting, I get paid in 2 and a half weeks time so when that happens work can start again. For now im just listing the parts i need from venom motorsport and ordering them when i get paid on the 16th, Im working full time so i have a lot more cash to paly with, ?600 is going into the car next month so ill post a few sneek peaks to a few select people (your self included included knite;)) But i really want to get the asthetics at least finished before i unvail the car at a car show probally later in the summer.

The fitting for the parts are crazy, The bodyshop at BMW are fitting the a custom made aluminium cadge behind each skirt to keep them from bending at high speeds and to close in the neons and keep them safe, And ALL The work comes with a 4 year warrentee, So basically. If i get them to fit the skirts, the parts are gonna stay on, They already did my front lip for me. and the rear one im doing my self as its only 4 bolts.

As for the motor conversion, sh!t ive not given that too much thaught yet, Im doing all the show before i work on the go ;)

Anyway, Its off to get some Sandpaper from the garage and start smoothing out my Big bumpers ;)

a gti would have been the perfect canvess for this project tho surely?

i figured it would be better to buy a CL and still have money to work on it instead of buying a GTI and using all my cash to pay the insurance brokers
Title: Re:Dizzy Style Rant

A slight change of plan, But a good one, Next month will see the car having the side skirts fitted, and Custom made Bodycoloured arches fitted to the car blended in with the skirts  ;D Then ill have to beg, Borrow and steal to try and get my paws on a rear lip and that will be the bodywork almost done. Then after that ill just near the rear lights, Tints and the paint fixed up and Shes good to roll  ;)

One thing tho, I have to choose what type of arches to fit to the car :(
