Title: Advice on cleaning callipers

I'm thinking of painting my callipers and carriers soon, as a cheap little mod for the car :)

What would you guys recommend for cleaning the brakes with before I paint them?

brake cleaner!

after you get all the loose stuff off, give them a going over with a wire brush - the paint will bond a lot better.
